The monthly “Everyday Climate Champions” podcast features inspiring conversations with community members throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. These “Everyday Climate Champions” come from different walks of life – as they put real climate solutions into action at home, work, school, family, community, and/or public policy levels.
Both educational and motivational, the podcast provides local examples, resources, and encouragement on how to become a climate champion in your own community. We aim to inform and support each other as we shift to the ‘new normal’ of climate-friendly living.
While the podcast is specific to the Bay Area, much of the information is relevant beyond the local region. Join us as we envision and create a positive future of climate recovery and restoration, in the context of a more just, equitable, and joyful Bay Area!

We learn what climate liberation means, and how we can get involved in the same way that Aditi found her place.

In this episode, we talk to Abbe Clemons, owner of Simple -- an eco-market located in San Francisco. Abbe shares her recommendations for how to choose and give gifts with the planet’s health in mind – no matter the occasion. She also offers some ideas about avoiding plastic, and considering climate-friendly choices. Abbe says: “I just wanna offer an alternative. But hopefully it's such an easy alternative that it just becomes a natural part of your life.”
