Dr Jeff Mann is an Orthopedic surgeon who lives in Lafayette and practices in Oakland. He has been active in the climate movement since the 2019 climate strikes, when the environmental-medical group Climate Health Now was started. Jeff has been raising awareness about the relationship between climate change and health, speaking to various medical and non-medical groups, as well as elected officials about this topic. He is also a member of the Nobel-prize winning group Physicians for Social Responsibility, and 350 Contra Costa, an environmental advocacy group started by his wife Jackie Garcia.
