A New Beginning: Climate Changemakers Joins the Climate Reality Project
The future of climate action just got brighter. Climate Changemakers has recently joined The Climate Reality Project. This new combination of expertise brings us one step closer in finding solutions for the climate crisis and in making change happen. Pairing Climate Changemakers expertise in advocacy and unique tools for community engagement with our training resources and expansive network creates a powerful vessel for effective climate action.

Introduction
Education, activism, civic engagement, local action: the fight for climate justice requires shared expertise, commitments, and action and this new integration of two important climate advocacy networks, The Climate Reality Project and Climate Changemakers open doors to building advocacy at an even larger scale and synergy.
What Happened
On September 16, 2025, The Climate Reality Project announced a partnership with advocacy nonprofit, Climate Changemakers, to join forces in fueling the people’s movement for climate action.
In light of their shared vision, the integration of Climate Changemakers with The Climate Reality Project is a big step forward in creating a more seamless and powerful partnership. By bridging Climate Changemakers expertise and background in advocacy and community engagement with the robust training model and network of The Climate Reality Project, the potential for impact we can make grows exponentially.
Now it’s up to all of us, across both networks, to be creative and intentional about how to build on these shared tools, advocacy approaches, and people networks.
The CRBA Writers Team pledges to share climate truths you can trust — not noise.
Sharing information grounded in facts, science, reputable media, and cited openly, our work cuts through disinformation to empower our community toward climate action and justice.
Why This Matters
In addition to The Climate Reality Project’s trainings and local actions, Climate Changemakers brings forth exciting opportunities including:
Hours of Action: both virtually and in-person, you can co-work with a group of like-minded individuals for strategies and support.
Advocacy resources: action playbooks and quick self-guided tools to familiarize yourself with advocacy.
Knowledge sharing and improving networks: joining forces gives us strength in numbers, to educate, collaborate, and advocate.
As we welcome Climate Changemakers to The Climate Reality Project family, our toolkit and capacity for climate action could not be expanded at a more critical and pivotal time.
Addressing the climate crisis is not a priority for the current administration, as policies, programs, and fundings have been cut and rewritten.
But this federal retreat is an opportunity for us to take the reins and strengthen and expand our networks and commitments.
“As the Trump Administration rolls back climate and clean energy policy, slashes investments in science, community resilience, and environmental protections, it is more important than ever to work at the local and state level.”
“We’re pleased to welcome Climate Changemakers to the U.S. Climate Reality Project chapter network. Their programs, including Hour of Action and the Use-it-or-Lose-it campaign, offer busy members simple ways to engage in climate advocacy benefitting our local Bay Area communities.”
About Climate Changemakers
Founded in 2020, Climate Changemakers is a climate solutions advocacy program that strives to promote evidence-backed climate solutions, along with tools and strategies for advocacy, helping ordinary citizens engage in United States climate action at every level of government.
Climate Changemakers has seven key climate solution priorities:
sustainable food systems
clean industry
clean transportation
accountability
building decarbonization
clean electricity
Climate Changemakers has an impactful set of resources including Action Playbooks, Issue Briefings, and “Hour of Action” which involves coworking sessions both virtually and in person. The design is intentional and the goal is simple: to make participation in civic engagement and constituent advocacy highly accessible — for everyone, regardless of other time commitments, background, education, etc.
In fact, there’s plenty you can do!
Our first joint campaign, Use-it-or-lose-it has already kicked off!
It’s an Advocacy Action Plan following the Climate Changemakers advocacy approach.

The formats that make Changemakers so effective make it easy to take action, in this campaign you’ll be joining others in getting the word out about ways local residents, public agencies, and businesses can save money on clean technology by claiming federal clean energy tax credits or other incentives just before Biden-era incentives are poised to end, be defunded, or be canceled.
Ready to dive in? Weekly Hours of Action events are already taking place!
